AoU Research Priorities Use Cases

In elderly with stable obstructive coronary disease, what factors predict long-term stability w/ medical management alone?

The number of elderly with heart disease is growing. AoU can address key questions by following the clinical management and outcome of these patients – e.g., among elderly patients with recently diagnosed chronic stable obstructive coronary disease, what factors (comorbidity, genomics, socio/environmental, behavioral) predict long-term stability with medical management alone vs. coronary revascularizations? And how does this vary by subgroups (race, sex, etc.)? Answers can inform future trials.
