AoU Research Priorities Use Cases

What are the best genetic indicators of wellness?

Wellness is not just absence of disease. But it is challenging to define aside from by disease exclusions. EHR data can't (easily) discriminate absent info. vs. evidence for absence of health concern. However, we (participants) know it when we feel it. Longitudinal data on self-reported "excellent" health, #minor illnesses/exacerb. (i.e. colds, non-critical injury, minor symptoms of chronic cond.), vital signs & etc can scalably identify health and be used to find determinants of good health.
