What is the relationship between pregnancy-childbirth-and post-partum immune system functioning and autoimmune disorders?

Goals: To determine if women are more susceptible to infections and autoimmune diseases around the period of childbirth.

To determine if infectious diseases like Lyme Disease are a precipitating factor for other diseases like scleroderma.

Participants: Females of childbearing age

Data: Genetic, Environmental, Lab work, Pain assessments, Any factors that could moderate outcomes.

Frequency of data: monthly ? during pregnancy - 3 months afterward (may have to ask if this is too burdensome)
